Long calls and puts are like buying a concert ticket.
You pay up front… and the concert is tonight.
Show up late (or the show gets cut short) and you don’t get full value.
That’s a long option: you paid up front and the clock starts running.
Beginner mistake: “I think it’s going up, so I’ll buy a call and wait.”
Better question: How far does it need to move—and by when?
