The Entry Rule Most Traders Ignore: Trade-Offs

A valid entry is not “I like this setup.”
A valid entry is “This trade matches my rules.”
Most entry rules come from four areas:
Market conditions
Strategy alignment
Probability & reward
Position size
Probability & reward is asking: does this trade-off make sense?
Am I choosing a higher probability trade with a smaller reward?
Or a lower probability trade with a bigger reward?
Neither is “right” — but you need to choose it on purpose.
