When you think of investments that offer good yields, there’s two options that normally come to mind. There’s dividend stocks, of which there’s many different options that offer a wide range of strategies, including dividend growers to higher income paying securities. The second investment type that offers a good yield are bonds. Fixed assets that pay a steady distribution every quarter or every month, again with there being a lot of different options from local municipal bonds, to high yield corporate bonds. There’s other investment types that offer a yield, but these are the two most common. But today we’re going to look at an investment that doesn’t fit into any existing category.
